Post # four hundred and ninety nine . . .

Seems as though moma cardinal has been busy!! What beautiful little eggs she has ~ I was very careful and quick to take these photos for you. I don't want to upset her. She's such a good mother. Sitting on them constantly ~ only flying away when we drive up in the car . . . I can't wait to see the babies!!

My next post will be my 500th! I can hardly believe that!! I do love blogging though and I do love sharing ~ you all are my sweet friends and I would have never met you had I not started this little ol' blog!! I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to look at my blog, read what I say and comment about how you feel....thank you, thank you!! My next post will be my giveaway post because you KNOW I JUST HAVE TO HAVE A GIVEAWAY!!!!!

xxoo, Dawn

We have a pair of Cardinals raise babies in our yard each year. I have no idea if it's the same couple or not. I love watching them with their babies, for the Daddy Cardinal takes just as much time and care with their feeding, and watching over them, as does Mamma Cardinal. They are a delight to watch. God's creations amaze my heart.

Such lovely photos of the nest. Once we had barn swallows make a nest above our door. They make nests from mud, so to add a bit of pretty I added some silk flowers just beneath the nest. When the babies were born it was such a pretty sight. My neighbor asked me one day if I had purchased at Michael's...she thought that it was mechanical. Can't wait to see the babies. Karen

Oh what pretty eggs! I have been lucky enough to watch both a Morning Dove couple and a Mockingbird couple nest in my backyard this year. Neither of the little Mockingbird babies made it, but I'm hoping the parents will nest again. The Morning Doves are! Thanks for sharing!

Oh how beautiful! I wasn't able to get a picture of our house wren nest. She chose the darkest corner of the shed! Can't wait to see the little beaks poking thru!

Blessings!

I've never seen cardinal eggs before. I'm following the progress of the robins on our front porch. The parents leave me alone but they attack dh, lol.
