Found: some wonderful things!
(oh yeah, I'm supposed to be getting rid of stuff, right?)

As you know, if I'm working on something that's not so wonderful (THE yard sale), but I still have to work in a little "FUN stuff" . . . it's just my way :)!

I needed to place an ad Thursday in the local county paper and stopped by the newspaper office to pay for my ad. It just so happens to be very, very close to The Plum Tree!!! I had to stop and apologize to Cindy for being such a lousy friend and not staying in touch with her. I've been holed up in the house creating like a mad woman and had not so much as called her.....

But please, let me tell you . . . as long as I've known this little store, The Plum Tree . . . let's see . . . since around 1995 . . . Today, it looked better than I have ever, ever seen it!!! I just have to tell you, if you are a local, the store WAS AMAZING!!!! I just want to grab folks and shake them and say, "have you seen this beautiful store we have in downtown McDonough???"

Cindy has a way with display that is like non-other....

I found some wonderful treasures, vintage lace, a sweet old photograph, don't they look like friends? (I will scan this and give it to you soon!) and this pair of McCoy pottery Dutch shoes! I plan on using some of my barkcloth to make pincushions out of them! Found treasures that are truly one-of-a-kind!

Please, please remember your small, independent stores that need your business . . . they may have just what you've been looking for!!!

I had to show you this beautiful conch shell that I found at a sale . . . have you ever seen a more beautiful shade of pink?

Wishing you a peaceful Friday dear friends and only one day 'til "THE SALE!!!"

xxoo, Dawn

Dawn, you find such treasures and I have to tell you, I highly appreciate you talking about the store close to you. It is so hard for a small business. I've been there. You are a true friend to her. Rest for your sale. Thank you for stopping by.
Have a Blessed Day,
Bonnie

The PLUM TREE sounds like a pretty little place...something I'd love. You found some beautiful items!

Only 1 day left til your sale! Mine too!!! I pray we have GREAT weather, loads of customers with the correct amount of $$$ to buy ALL the items we have for them to choose from. I also pray for the stamina to get us both through this ordeal!!!

Jan

Dear Dawn,

Thank you!! A million times thank you!!! My package arrived in the mail Wednesday, but I didn't open it till yesterday as I was not home. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that it was love at first sight!!!!! You have so much talent. Thank you for your generosity. Please know that you have brought a little more beauty and creativity into my home. Lucky me!!

I thought you might want to know that it currently resides in a place of honor on my mantle. Lovely, lovely! Thank you!!!!!!!

Love all the things you have here. So wonderful. And do I ever wish I lived closer to the Plum Tree...that is my kind of shop. And seems like it is getting harder and harder to find those like that here.

LOL why is it that when we are cleaning out we can "always" find something that steals our heart again and that we simply "must" have?..ha.oh be still my heart..I just love the little dutch shoes!
I actually have a small collection of them and I'm always looking to add to them..they are lots of fun aren't they?
your idea for them sounds wonderful.
I'll have to share photos soon of my dutch collection.
hugs, Tina
p.s. and yep..I set my garage sale for an hour earlier than yours..ugh..silly me..I'll be getting up real early to meet and greet folks.
lets hope they are in a shopping mood.good luck to you wish I was shopping at your garage sale.
you don't happen to have any vintage hankies you are getting rid of do you? I'm looking for ones with aqua, yellow or red on them.
