Window art ~

Unbelievable Update!! A wonderful customer of The Plum Tree (and friend as well) called me this morning (Wed.) at 8:30 am and purchased this item from me!!!! Thank you so much, Lisa ~ I guess I'd better get started on a new one for the store . . .

This is the window that I've converted into a large collage piece for The Plum Tree. I really hadn't planned on collaging the papers onto the front of the glass but one of the panes had a hairline crack and it bothered me, so I decided to collage it all on!

I've incorporated small branches, feathers and twigs with hemp to give it a three dimensional feel. Hopefully it will look good with my trees at the store!

Oh how lovely , your room will be beautiful . I always love your work . The window with birds is beautifiul . One of the sweetest birthday gifts, I ever received was from my son (24) and his new bride. They will be married 2 yrs in April . They had an old window . Painted it rubbed it in places -- was wonderful and put in images of all my family -- also tied with a large black grogain ribbon for hanging
I truly love and cherish it .
It makes me smile when I think of the love put into creating it . Just as your work and words make me smile as i read your blog .

Blessings Kathy

Hello Dawn, your window is so lovely. I have two sitting on my porch now that I need to do something with. What a great ideal to collage them, may give it a try. However mine are quite large so, I'm not sure how they would turn out. Well, don't know until I try, right ?

Blessings,Shelley

I LOVE THIS! I have seen windows used in many ways but I just love birds, nests and eggs so this is just amazing! Great job.

I wanted to let you know that I posted about my mittens I made from your tutorial and added some more ornament ideas for a winter tree. You can see them on my blog CelebrateTheSeasons and the tutorial for one I added to it on NeedleNecessitites. Thanks so much Dawn for a fabulous tutorial and idea.
