Love Jessie Wilcox Smith...I had some of her prints framed in my daughter's nursery...17 years ago!!! I also love Eloise Wilkin...she did a number of illustrations for Golden Books...both of these ladies capture life when it was so much more "simply"...and seemingly "right"...

My MIL has a picture by her, I think called "My Kitten"...a little girl holding a black cat. I've always loved that picture.

This was the first time I have see other Jessie pictures and they are wonderful!

Oh, I agree! I have collected cards from her prints & have framed them & have had them for years. I never tire of them. Classics - absolutely adorable classics.

Thanks for sharing these lovely pictures! The one of the girl with a pink bow in her hair on the beach is so precious--I've never seen it before! I love Jessie Wilcox Smith's art--as others have said, it certainly brings to mind the joys of an old-fashioned childhood.
