Time for sewing ~

I've been wanting to get to the sewing machine lately so today I put together a purse. I've started not using store patterns and now I just make my own. I think this one turned out pretty neat. Did you know that I usually keep my purses hanging in the bushes! No, really, I just wanted a good photo with sunlight! For sale in my Etsy shop ~ xxoo, Dawn

Cute bag!! I sat down this morning and sewed for the first time in weeks. I just love that whirring sound. :) I'm jealous of your creative time! As soon as the holidays are done, I will be getting back to business. I cannot wait.

What a cute bag...again your talents are never-ending...I don't like using patterns for these types of things either...especially the bags...I kind of just get by on a wing and a prayer.

I have a question for you...when you age something...using instant coffee...does it have to be instant coffee...or will old regular left over drip coffee work??? I have always used tea...but was curious when you mentioned instant coffee...your things always look aged to perfection...so I was wondering if the instant coffee was the trick...????

Blessings to you and your family during this most holy of seasons.

I do find that store bought patterns can give guidance but also restrict you from using your own (better) design. Great job on your sewing! I think hanging things on trees and bushes is fun- I do it too.
I wish I had time to get my sewing machine reved up again. It calls to me often and I have to say "later". Later needs to come sooner!
