A Christmas Parade!

Isn't it funny that everybody really does love a parade??

Tonight McDonough had their annual Christmas parade and there were tons of people there. Lining the streets in those little weird fold up chairs, setting up early for the best view.

I took view photos just to give you an idea, it's floats featuring all the local boy scout clubs, churchs, marching school bands and of course, ending with Santa! It was a little chilly but we really did have fun.

It's so nice that, even though the town of McDonough is growing by leaps and bounds that we are still small enough to enjoy our own Christmas parade!

How fun! Our parade was today during the day...I missed it. But next Saturday night is our Downtown Christmas stroll. There will be carolers, Father Christmas, stores serving cookings and mulled cider....We always go to that.

When Santa passes by my house on the lit up fire truck it gives me a lump in my throat every year! They play Chrismas music over the speakers and the whole neighborhood steps out on the porches!

Last holiday I tacked Christmas lights on the ceiling perimeter of my daughters' room, they said we had to leave them up all year, they are like fairy lights for sleeping!

Hi Dawn, That looks like it was a wonderful parade. Thanks so much for sharing! I love your son's little cottage, it's so charming. Can't wait to see how it looks after he has fixed it all up. I can't imagine my son out on his own. His poor bedroom is what I call the town dump.He is only 15 and a half. I am hoping he will develope some cleaning skills soon.
He says his room is an organized mess!(HA,HA)

Blessings,Shelley

Miss Peach would like to know how Thelma and Chester are doing this fine holiday season.
A parade is so very nostalgic and romantic...did they serve mulled wine to help keep the chill at bay?
I often come to visit your pretty things...so I can give the mommy some advice.

Hi Dawn!
Loved to see the parade ~ I'm sure that was great fun and festive, too! Your son's little cottage is delightful! I know you are going to have too much fun "helping" him to decorate it :) It will be charming! Congrats, too, on your contest win (you go, girl!).
Love and hugs, Bebe :)

Just realized I just commented on your way back Nov. 27 post - so you'll have to read that one first!

Loved the parade pics - we had ours a week ago. Your tree is coming along and so pretty - don't you love just picking out ornaments? Each year they seem better and better.
