Yaaay! I made something!!

I love to make things. I love taking a jumbled up pile of junk and turning it into a neat piece of artwork that is actually something.

This is a box that I found, an old berry or candy box I believe as it still has the label on the end. Well, apparently someone else that owned this box had a woodburning tool and burned a beautiful design onto the sides and top, one side was not completed though. But that makes me love it all the more. I love it even though it wasn't a finished piece of work. Kind of like us, right? We're never finished being who we are, being our best ~ we are all definitely a work in progress.

Here are the shots of the bird box ~ I'm really pleased with how it turned out! For sale in my Etsy store.

xxoo, Dawn

PS: Can you believe this??? It's sold!! OMGoodness, thank you ALL for such sweet, kind words about my art ~ you inspire me to make more!! Thank you so much Angela for buying my work!

I just noticed where the box came from. White River Junction, Vermont is a acute little train town. Somewhere I have pictures from a Day out With Thomas the Tank (and lots of our cousins).
