New Artwork ~

I have just finished a wonderful drawer assemblage and am offering it up for your consideration. I purchased this amazing framed print from my friend Jean Loomis and have had it hanging in my bathroom now for a couple of years! I took it apart and made an beautiful color copy. To look at her face gives me such joy! It truly is a wonderful old print and I'm so happy to be able to share it with you.

I've created this assemblage inside of an antique drawer from a nightstand that had seen better days. Just the detailing on the drawer alone is so very wonderful. The centerpiece of the assemblage is this beautiful vintage woman. I've incorporated the nesting elements that I love and a beautiful old bottle with an "antique" message! I have a nest featured with hand painted and speckled eggs and wonderful old millinery roses....

Please consider this artwork at 54.00 and a shipping cost of 12.00 in the continental United States. Please contact me at sewmanyroses@yahoo.com if you are interested!

Thank you so very much for looking at my blog!!

xxoo, Dawn

The pictures featured below are using more natural sunlight but the project was not completely finished!!

Your work is so creative and beautiful ... I love the unique twist you put on items. Using an antique drawer is a brilliant idea... and the "feathered nest" just makes it perfect :-}

I love the drawer! Funny thing - I "saved" 2 lovely pink drawers from an old vanity someone had discarded on the road - the drawers were really the only things of beauty - and I've wondered what to do with them (and also my sanity for "saving" them!)
thanks for the inspirstion! And yes, your'e is worth every penny...and more!

What a great idea Dawn - you've done a magnificent job here. I did find a cute antique drawer recently and am using it to store my rubber stamp ink pads etc. Perhaps..........just perhaps, they'll be moved to another place and I'll create "theatre" in my drawer too! You are so talented.
